While spending the summer with the Dursleys, Harry and Dudley get attacked by a
group of Dementors. Harry uses the Expecto Patronum spell to ward them off. Since using
magic by underage wizards is forbidden to use outside of the school, Harry has to go through a
disciplinary hearing at the Ministry of Magic. With Dumbledore’s help, Harry was permitted to go
back to Hogwarts. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, does not
like Harry and doesn’t teach the class any defensive spells. In rebellion, Harry, Ron, and
Hermione create a secret group to teach other students spells that they might need in the future.
They also find out that there are secret prophecy spheres held in the Ministry. As an attempt to
find them, they get jumped by a group of Death Eaters. Miraculously, several Order of the
Phoenix members show up and save the day...

In my opinion, this book is definitely a great book. Although it is the longest book in the
series, J.K. Rowling still finds a way to keep me entertained throughout the entire book. My
favorite part of the book is when Harry and his friends make the D.A. club because it was really
fun looking at all of the different spells. In the end, this book is definitely a really good book and I
would certainly recommend it to others.
