A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson is the first book in the series. The case was
closed 5 years ago and everyone knew who the murder was and what happened. Sal Singh
murdered Andie Bell and then killed himself. If Pippa Fitz-Amobi knew Sal at all, she would
know he would never have done such a thing. She chooses to “re-solve” the murder for a school
project. As she finds more clues, she finds out that Sal wasn’t the murderer at all. Instead, the
killer is out loose, threatening Pip and trying to keep her away from discovering the truth that
happened 5 years ago.
I thought this book was really good. It was a good mystery with a lot of plot twists. I would have
never guessed who the killer was, but towards the end of the book when the author explains it, it
all fits together perfectly. I loved the main character, Pip. She is very intelligent and loyal. I
thought this book was a crazy roller coaster and would definitely recommend it to people who
like murder mysteries. I would rate this book a 5/5.
