Daphne Vincent, an enthusiastic librarian in Waning Bay, Michigan, felt perfectly settled into her new life with her soon-to-be husband Peter Collins. That is, until her fiancé realizes his love for his childhood best friend, Petra. Devastated, Daphne moves into the apartment of Petra’s ex-boyfriend Miles Nowak, whom she believes will understand her situation. Daphne and Miles begin to bond over their shared breakups, hatching a plan to get back at their exes while navigating their new lives.
I would definitely recommend this book to those looking for a cheesy, quick romance story, as it is one of the best out there. I loved how the struggles were articulated in this book as they were very well written and I found it easy to empathize with each character. Emily Henry’s writing style leaves me in awe and I admire her attention to detail. She truly sculpted each character from start to finish, incorporating subtle individualities for each character. Overall, this was an amazing book and I recommend it!
