Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards is a thrilling fictional tale about 5 different strangers, all of whom are stuck at the airport with their flights canceled, due to a blizzard. Wanting to get home for the holidays, they all decide to rent a car and drop people off along the way to each of their routes. Riding with strangers isn’t too bad if you semi-trust them, that is, until secretly, one person in the car starts sabotaging the ride. A book, wallet, and other items that are meaningful to each person start to disappear. Through ups and downs, burning snow, and whipping wind, Natalie Richards writes an incredible tale about how instinct can be a blessing and a curse.

Saying this book was good would be an understatement. With twists I didn’t even know were coming, mixed with the overall surprise of who the outlier was, the story itself was a very compelling read. If you are a reader who has enjoyed murder mystery books, action tales, or any books by Karen McManus, this is definitely up your alley.
