Firekeeper’s Daughter is a teen fiction book that follows Daunis and her connection to her community and the mysterious drug problem happening. Daunis experiences many life changing events in close succession all while navigating being an investigator into the drug problem and while trying to protect her community. I personally really enjoyed this book and the story it told. The story is important to look at and see life through another perspective, especially since it is a realistic fiction and could be happening right now. The plot of this book is enthralling and the writing keeps you hanging onto every word, reaching for more. In conclusion this book is a fantastic read because of its characters, plot, writing, and the importance of the story it tells
