After Katniss and Peeta’s victory in the 74th Hunger Games, the capitol sends them on a victory tour across the twelve districts. Due to the rebellion seen in the districts, the capitol announces the 75th annual Hunger Games to be a “Quarter Quell”, where tributes will be selected from previous victors

This movie is my favorite from the Hunger Games franchise because I liked that it had both the aftermath of the previous games and the new games. Also the new characters that were introduced like Finnick and Johanna, made the 75th Hunger Games different and more intresting than the previous one. The cinematography of this movie was really good. It had many scenes that were visually stunning, like when Peeta and Katniss are talking on the beach. Katniss and Peeta’s relationship got stronger because of their shared experiences in the games, making them a powerful force that you can’t help but root for. The only part of the movie I didn’t enjoy was Gale’s character. In this movie he was very jealous of Katniss and Peeta’s relationship and seemed to dismiss Katniss’s trauma from the Hunger Games. Besides that I really enjoyed this movie and I think that it is great for people into themes of dystopian societies, corrupt Governments, and strong female leads.
