The main character, Carrie was raised in a religious household with her mother. Carrie gets her period while showering after gym class at school and thinks she is dying. The other girls in the locker room make fun of Carrie. While some girls feel sorry and try to make it up to her, other girls want the mean joke to go on. After the girls continue on with a terrible prank, Carrie gets her revenge by using her mind. She goes home to her religious mother who says she is a witch/devil. Carrie gets her revenge at the prom. Carrie goes home after prom and has problems with her mother.

The part that I liked the most was when Carrie used her telekinesis to get back at the girls who made fun of her because those girls ruined the dress she made. I didn’t like it when they killed the pig for the blood because it was gross to watch. The book and the movies about Carrie are all very entertaining and keep you on the edge of your seat. I would highly recommend this to anyone over the age of 13. It is a classic and relatable to many women.
