Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-A-Lot is the twelfth Captain Underpants book by Dav Pilkey. It starts off on a planet in a different universe called Smart Earth, that exploded, with one chunk flying towards the regular planet Earth. It lands in a jail where all the teachers are, and Mr. Meaner eats it. He then becomes super intelligent and helps everyone escape the jail cell. With his new-found intelligence, he creates a spray that can turn all children into obedient students who follow the orders of all adults. He proceeds to use it on all children in the town. He doesn’t use it on George and Harold because he used it on Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold, and didn’t realize that there were two of each. George and Harold discover what happened and take it upon themselves to free the city from Mr. Meaner and his evil spray. They decide to go into the future to get their future selves to help them, since those are the only adults they trust, and they would be immune toward the spray. Will Mr. Meaner succeed in taking over the town, or will good prevail?
This, just like all the other Captain Underpants books, was a really amusing book! It was interesting to read about the new plot in this, with how the Super Earth had smart people because of the elements that made it up. Plus, it was funny to read about how it blew up. I liked how George and Harold decided to go into the future to get their grown-up selves, because it made the story a lot more engaging. Because of all this, I give this book a five out of five.
