Blackout has a very unique style with contributions from six different authors that each write a romantic fictional short story that all take place during a blackout in New York City. This blackout sparks romantic conflict and tension, and it changes many relationships for the better or worse.

It’s a pretty quick read and an enjoyable, lighthearted book. One thing that kind of bothered me was that the plots of each story weren’t very extensive and they felt cut off at the end. It also was a little difficult to remember where each one left off before it switched to a different author, and the length really impacted my ability to connect with the characters. The stories, however,  all very sweet to read about, and I would recommend this book to someone who is looking for an easy fun book to read.
