Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter is a rom com about Liz Buxbaum who is certain the guy she’s going to end up with is Michael, who was the person she’s had a crush on since she was a little girl. Michael never noticed Liz before he moved away. Now that he’s back Liz will do anything to get his attention. Even becoming friends with Wes, her annoying next-door neighbor who bugs her every time he sees her since they were kids. But as Liz and Wes work together to get Liz noticed by Michael, Liz finds out that she likes it when she’s around Wes. Now Liz needs to rethink who she actually loves before it’s too late.
I thought this book was really good. If you like quirky cute rom coms then I highly recommend reading this book. The book was so funny and cute! I loved all the characters and their relationships. Wes is such a green flag and is such a good person. He really raises the standards for men. I loved both the main characters so much, and their relationship was the cutest. I was gushing over this book so much. I am literally obsessed with this book. I could read it 100 times and never get bored. I highly recommend this book. I rate this book a 5 out of 5.
