AP World History: Modern Prep is a book used to prepare students taking AP World History for the AP test in May. It covers all topics required by the College Board from the textbook, by unit. In addition, there are brief multiple-choice practice questions after each chapter to help a student review. It contains multiple full practice tests as well as more online tests that you can print out and use. There are many tips for all the free response question (FRQ) types for this class - SAQs, DBQs, and LEQs - that help you practice for taking the real test.

The practice tests in this book are slightly harder than the actual test, which helps you prepare well. This includes high-quality, challenging multiple-choice questions as well as free-response type questions. I found this book helpful because of all the useful tips for the FRQs. However, the unit reviews cover a lot of content that isn't necessarily useful for the actual AP test, and so, since this is purely a test prep book, it wasn't very helpful. Because of all this, I give this book a four out of five.
