To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han is contemporary fiction. Lara Jean has never
admitted any crush. Instead, she’s written all the boys a letter, but never sent them out and kept
them in a box. One day, her letters are mysteriously mailed out. This leads to her having to face
all the boys she’s loved: her first kiss, her sister’s ex, and a boy from summer camp. Falling for
extreme measures to hide her crush for her sister’s ex, she decides to pretend date another
recipient of her letters. This book follows Lara Jean as she finds and struggles through young
love.

This book was really cute! It was a cliche, cute, and easy read. I liked the characters and
the drama that followed. Even though I enjoyed this book, its writing style was very young. Lara
Jean acted very young considering her age, even calling her mom and dad “mommy” and
“daddy.” It was a little weird but it was easy to overlook it. It was overall a good book but nothing
extraordinary. I would give it a 3/5.
