1984, George Orwell, Realistic Fiction

Summary: Winston, the main character, is against the political party and Big Brother. Posters
around London show the party slogans. More posters write that “Big Brother is Watching.”
However, Winston is against the party. It was wrong to be against the party because people could
be vanished for thoughtcrime. Although, it wasn’t just Winston; it was Julia, but what can they
do the if the whole population is against them?

Opinion: I personally really enjoyed reading 1984. My favorite part of the book was the end. It
was not what I would have expected. I liked that both Winston and Julia were against the party.
They both wanted to destroy Big Brother, but they thought wrong, which made the book even
more entertaining.

The Cover : I thought the cover was okay. I like the eye on the cover.
