Captain America The First Avenger was an amazing movie which was very different from every other Marvel movie. Currently when you think of a Marvel movie, you think of a movie that has high tech equipment and different types of sets. I like this movie because it displays how Captain America started out instead of screening him in The Avengers without any background knowledge of him. The movie starts out with Steve Rogers at an army camp where he trains to become a soldier. He was a lab rat in a project which gave him enhanced strength and speed.

The first time I saw this book was online while I was browsing through the Johnson County website. I was interested in this book because of the cover. As I read further into this book I understood that it was more than an adventure story but also a way of going on the journey with Karr. This book has the highest of commendations because it shows how Karr, a kid, journeys throughout the entire galaxy to find out how his powers work only to find out that he was predestined to do something else. This book will help people find how to find themselves because it helped me in that way.

The moment I read the first chapter of Star Wars Lost Stars I knew it was going to be one of my favorite books. When you read the first chapter, not only do you get to know the two main character’s backstories but also how they came into their passion for flying ships. Ciena and Thane are two different people. One from the rich folk and another from the valleys. They were best friends for many years and even went to the same Imperial academy together. Throughout the book you start to see the characters change in either massive or short ways.

The Thousandth Floor is a futuristic fantasy, set in Manhattan, New York in 2118. The world has evolved drastically, with mind-controlled objects and more. The first edition to this trilogy has me intrigued and I can't wait to read the next book. I love the way each chapter is told by a different character and how everyone is connected at the end. The plot is very well-thought and detailed. I recommend this book if you like suspense and are a fan of fantasy.

Illuminae follows Kady Grant and Ezra Mason, two teenagers living on the planet Kerenza in the year 2575. They broke up the day before a fleet of BeiTech ships attack their planet, where they are forced into three different ships; the Alexander (where Ezra ends up), the Hypatia (where Kady ends up), and the Copernicus. The Alexander is damaged and unable to make a wormhole gate, meaning the three ships have to travel six months to the nearest jump station, the Heimdall.
