Red Queen is a fantasy novel by Victoria Aveyard. It is the first novel in the Red Queen series. The book follows Mare, a girl who lives in a world which is divided by the color of blood. Mare is a Red, meaning she is a commoner and lacks the superpowers of the noble Silvers. However, Mare discovers that she has powers of her own while working at the castle and is declared a princess, putting her into a dangerous game between Reds and Silvers.

Onyx, the second book in Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Lux series, was absolutely amazing. After being healed by Daemon, Katy becomes a Luxen mutant and must learn to manage her powers, but the Department of Defense is suspicious. As Katy and the others try to stay under the DoD’s radar, they will discover what the Department has been hiding.

Restore Me is the fourth novel in Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me series. This book is primarily based around Juliette's struggles as she tries to lead with almost no knowledge of how to do so. As the children of the other Supreme Commanders come to visit and her past is uncovered, Juliette must figure out who to trust. My opinions on this book are mainly based on structure.
