Perfect

By: Morgan Shaffer

She uncovers her eyes
She’s dying inside.
She’s starving from anticipation.
So much food wasted.
She paces the floor and drinks another glass of water.
She’s hardcore.
Her skin is tight.
She’s starting to show,
Sides of herself we’ve never seen before.
She falls to the ground and no one hears a sound.
For she had starved herself to death, and couldn’t be found.
All she ever wanted was to be PERFECT.
