Johnson County Library uses a complex group of software programs to organization information about our collection, for instance, the location of a particular copy of an item, or which Library card a hold was placed on. It also tracks large amounts of data such as what items are On Order in our catalog. We periodically need to update or migrate to new software as the needs of libraries change and the technology that supports them evolves.
What?
- The Library will be doing a software update that will affect access to our Catalog and eResources intermittently for approximately one week.
When?
- We do not have a firm time range for this project yet, but we are projecting a week later in May. This page will be updated as we know more.
What do I need to know?
- During part of the update period, you will be unable to do some tasks with your account, including placing holds in the Web Catalog. Other functions, like using the Libby app, will be unaffected.
Check back soon for an announcement of the dates, and a full FAQ for managing your account, holds, and checkouts during this period. You can also watch for updates on social media @jocolibrary.
