Welcome To Storytime!   [tune: Twinkle, Twinkle]

Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.

 “Five Elephants in the Bathtub”

One elephant in the bathtub
Going for a swim.
Knock, Knock, (Clap twice with “Knock, Knock.”)
Splash, Splash, (Slap knees twice with “Splash, Splash.”)
Come on in! (Motion with both hands to come in.)
Two elephants elephants in the bathtub… etc.
(Until…)
Five elephants elephants in the bathtub
Going for a swim.
Knock, Knock,
Splash, Splash,
They all fell in!

Take Me Out of the Bathtub by Alan Katz [tune: "Take me out to the Ballgame" ]

Take me out of the bathtub
Take me out of the suds
I’ve been here soaking since half past two
I feel so sudsy and wrinkle-y, too
Oh, I washed all over my body
My head, my toes, in between
I used one, two, three bars of soap
Take me out….I’m clean!

“Rub-A-Dub-Dub”

Rub-a-dub-dub, one child in the tub (hold up one finger)

Tell me what you see. (point to eyes)

One foot with toes, (point to body parts)

A hand, a nose,

As clean as they can be. (rub hands together)

Rub-a-dub-dub, one child in the tub (hold up one finger)

Tell me what you see. (point to eyes)

Leg, and arms (shake legs and arms)

So clean and warm,

Do they have a hug for me? (hug yourself)

The More We Read Together    [Tune: The More We Get Together]

The more we read together, together, together,
The more we read together, the better it is!
'Cause reading and singing and talking together,
Is how you learn the six skills for reading by six.

Hope to see you at our next Antioch Preschool Storytime!
