6. TAKE TIME TO RHYME, SING AND PLAY WORD GAMES
Here are the rhymes and songs from today:

Welcome To Storytime! [tune: Twinkle, Twinkle]

Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.

We Like Snow [tune: "Three Blind Mice"]

We like snow! We like snow!
Out we go.
It covers the houses and fills the trees.
It's fun for sleds and it's fun for skis.
We'll stay outdoors till our noses freeze,
'cause we like snow!

Snowflakes Falling [tune: "Mary Had a Little Lamb" ]

Snowflakes falling from the sky,
from the sky, from the sky.
Snowflakes falling from the sky.
To the earth below.
Watch them as they dance and whirl,
Dance and whirl, dance and whirl.
Watch them as they dance and whirl,
Soft, white winter snow.

Five Little Snowmen Fat

Five little snowmen fat,
Each one with a silly hat.
Out came the sun and melted one
Down, down, down, down.
What a sad thing is that!
(Four little... three little... two little... one little...)

Let's Make a Snowman

Start with a very tiny snowball, (Form a fist)
And roll it through the snow. (Roll hands)
Over, and over and over again, each turn makes it grow. (Pretend you're pushing a big ball through the snow)
Now the ball is big and round, (Make ball with arms)
Add another to make it broad and tall, (Make it bigger and taller)
Add a head and then some arms, (Set on the head and pack on arms)
Firm so they won't fall. Now we'll be the snowmen! Here are buttons for our coat! (Place buttons on)
A broom for us to hold (Pretend to sweep then hold broom)
Let's put a hat upon our head, (Put pretend hat on)
So we won't get cold. (Pose as a cold stiff snowman)
