Welcome To Storytime! [tune: Twinkle, Twinkle]

Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.

Dino Eggs   [Tune: "This Old Man"

Di-no-saur, She laid one.
She laid one egg, Then was Done.

Di-no-saur, She laid two.
She laid two eggs, that were blue.

Di-no-saur, She laid three.
She laid three eggs, by a tree.

Di-no-saur, She laid four.
She laid four eggs, not one more.

Di-no-saur, She laid Five,
She laid five that hatched ALIVE!

Chorus:
Oh - oh, dino eggs,
She lays them     one by one.
She lays eggs     until she's done.

Dino Ditty

Here he comes just a stomping with his feet.
Sing Dino, ditty, ditty-dum, ditty do
Searching all around for something to eat.
Singing dino, ditty, ditty, dum ditty do

He's huge [echo]. He's strong [echo]
He's huge, he's strong.
Won't be hungry for very long
Dino ditty, ditty dum, ditty do
Yeah, Dino ditty, ditty dum, ditty do.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs lived long ago.
Some walked (stomp in place)
Some swam (pretend to swim)
Some flew, you know! (flap arms at sides)
Some were big (hold hands high)
Some were small (hold hands low)
Some were gigantic (stretch arms out wide)
V-E-R-Y tall! (stretch arms up high.)

The More We Read Together [Tune: The More We Get Together]

The more we read together, together, together,
The more we read together, the better it is!
'Cause reading and singing and talking together,
Is how you learn the six skills for reading by six.

Hope to see you at our next Antioch Preschool Storytime!
