Welcome To Storytime!   [tune: Twinkle, Twinkle]

Welcome, welcome everyone,
Now we're here, let's have some fun.
First we'll sing the ABC's,
then we'll read and sing with me.
Welcome, welcome, everyone,
Now we're here let's have some fun.

Can you Move with Me [tune: "Do Your Ears Hang Low"]

Can you wiggle like a worm?
Can you squiggle? Can you squirm?
Can you flutter? Can you fly like a gentle butterfly?
Can you crawl upon the ground Like a beetle that is round?
Can you move with me?
Can you flip? Can you flop? Can you give a little hop?
Can you slither like a snake? Can you give a little shake?
Can you dance like a bee who is buzzing round a tree?
Can you move with me?

Roly-Poly Caterpillar

Roly-poly caterpillar (wiggle right pointer finger)
Into a corner crept, (place right pointer finger in left cupped hand)
Spun around himself a blanket (spin around)
Then for a long time slept. (place head on flolded hands)
Roly-poly caterpillar (wiggle right pointer finger)
Wakening by and by, (stretch right pointer finger)
Found himself with beautiful wings, changed to a butterfly. (flutter arms like wings)

Flutter, Flutter, Butterfly [tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"]

Flutter, flutter, butterfly. Floating in the summer sky.
Floating by for all to see, Floating by so merrily.
Flutter, flutter, butterfly, Floating in the summer sky.

Ants Go Marching

The ants go marching one-by-one Hurrah! Hurrah!
The ants go marching one-by-one Hurrah! Hurrah!
The ants go marching one-by-one, the little one stopped to suck his thumb
and they all went marching, down around town, Boom, boom, boom, boom.

The ants go marching two-by-two...
Two-by-two:tie his shoe Three-by-three: climb a tree

Buzzing Bumble Bees

6 buzzing bumblebees flying around the hive
One buzzes off and that leave 5. 5 buzzing bumblebees flying near my door,
One buzzes off and that leaves 4. 4 buzzing bumblebees flying around a tree,
One buzzes off and that leaves three. 3 buzzing bumblebees in the sky so blue,
1 buzzes off and that leaves 2. 2 buzzing bumblebees flying by the sun,
1 buzzes off and that leave 1. 1 buzzing bumblebee, looking for some fun,
It buzzes off and that leave none.

The Insects Outside [Tune: Wheels on the Bus]

The fireflies at night go blink, blink, blink. Blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink.
The fireflies at night go blink, blink, blink. Out in the garden.
The bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz. Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz.
The bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz, Out in the garden.
The caterpillars on the leaves go munch, munch, munch...
The spiders in the bush spin their webs....

Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy bitsy spider, went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain.
So the itsy bitsy spider, went up the spout again.

A Fly is on my Toe [Tune: Farmer in the Dell]

A fly is on my toe, a fly is on my toe,
Hi-ho, just watch me blow,
a fly is on my toe.

Other verses: A fly is on my nose... A fly is on my head... a fly is on my ear... etc...

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs [Tune: Frere Jacques]

Big bug, small bugs, big bugs, small bugs.
See them crawl, on the wall.
Never, never falling, never, never falling.
Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs.

The More We Read Together    [Tune:  “The More We Get Together]

The more we read together, together, together,
The more we read together, the better it is!
'Cause reading and singing and talking together,
Is how you learn the six skills for reading by six.
