The Library is our community’s center where people gather to explore ideas, to grow knowledge and skills and to have new experiences. We need your support to achieve these goals. Organizations and citizens like you sustain the Johnson County Library with gifts of time, treasure and talent – and, lots of used books!
The Johnson County Library Foundation supplies funds to programs, projects and events across the Library. The Black and Veatch MakerSpace, the Joan Berkley Writers Fund and elementia Teen Literary Magazine are just a few of the initiatives grateful for Foundation assistance.
The Friends of Johnson County Library raise funds through book sales, online sales and Library used bookstores. Friends support is felt in 6 by 6 Early Literacy, Library staff professional development and Outreach Librarian efforts, among others.
1,100 Johnson County Library Volunteers work in every corner of our 13 locations and our Sorting Center – and with the Friends stores and sales. Volunteers give us nearly 60,000 hours annually. That’s about 30 full time employees’ worth of energy, and we’re grateful for every second!
Support your Library with your time, treasure or talent, and help us grow.
