More than 40,000 historical photographs, newspapers, maps and more documenting the people, places and organizations of Johnson County, Kansas, from the 19th century to the present.

JoCoHistory is a collaborative collection of digitized content from Johnson County Library, Johnson County Museum, Johnson County Archives, Kansas School for the Deaf, Lenexa Historical Society and City of Lenexa, Olathe Public Library, Overland Park Historical Society, Shawnee Mission School District and other local organizations.

Find citations for obituaries from local newspapers dating from the late 19th century to the present. Entries are provided by the Johnson County Genealogical Society. New entries are continually being added.

While the citations do not include the obituaries themselves, you can explore online newspaper and genealogy resources from the Library or request a copy of an obituary with help from JCGS volunteers.

The Automated Information Mapping System (AIMS) Online Mapping is a Geographic Information System (GIS) website supported by Johnson County's Department of Technology and Innovation. The AIMS database combines a variety of graphic and nongraphic Johnson County data compiled from recorded deeds, plats, tax records and other public records.

AIMS uses a Google based mapping interface and integrates information on government districts, historical images, property taxes, school boundaries, tax rates, traffic, utilities, zoning and more.
