Terri Pollack

Monday, May 6 to Wednesday, August 21, 2024

Terri Pollack paints on brightly colored backgrounds, creating vibrant images and then translating that work into different media such as relief prints.

Tell us about the works on exhibit. What’s the medium? What has inspired their creation?

I'm displaying some portraits from my latest series. I did some quick sketches while on zoom meetings or online artist talks of some of my friends and acquaintances, then created oil paintings from those drawings.

What do you wish to convey when working on a portrait?

I wish to convey movement and energy from quick glances.

What themes do you pursue?

I usually work figuratively using the human figure.

What areas of your work or personal development are you hoping to explore?

I'm constantly honing my skills and growing. I would like to do more commission work.

What is your most important artistic tool? Is there something you can’t live without in your studio?

My most important tool is a sketchbook and pencil, I carry one with me at all times.
