Whether you need a study room, meeting space, or conference room, Johnson County Library offers a wide variety of reservable spaces—all available free of charge.
Which room type is best for you?
- Study Rooms and Conference Rooms may be reserved up to three months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by individuals or groups.
- Meeting Rooms may be reserved up to three months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by government agencies and not for profit groups engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, recreational, or charitable activities.
- Media Rooms are perfect for working on a multimedia project, watching a movie with friends or gaming. Media Rooms may have multiple monitors and sound-dampening panels.
- Lounges feature cozy furniture in a relaxed setting. Lounges are perfect for small book groups and conversations.
Reservation Details and Guidelines
- Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. No same-day bookings.
- You can use any free room on a walk-in basis as long as there is no reservation for that time.
- Room reservations will be honored up to 15 minutes past the reservation start time.
- You must clean and vacate your reserved space before the next group's reservation time or the Library's closing time.
By reserving a room, patrons agree to honor our Room Reservation Guidelines and follow all Library policies and regulations.

Study Rooms - 2 to 5 people
Central Resource has 12 study rooms that fit 2, 4 or 5 people each. Study Rooms are free and may be reserved up to three months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by individuals or groups.
Conference Rooms - 8 to 18 people
Central Resource has six conference rooms that fit between 8 and 18 people each. Conference Rooms are free and may be reserved up to three months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by individuals or groups.
Media Rooms - 4 or 12 people
Central Resource has two media rooms; one fits four people, and one fits 12. Media Rooms are free and may be reserved up to three months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by individuals or groups.
