I am not a huge book reader, but I LOVED this book and it made me read the whole series. It’s a quick read because it’s hard to put down once you start. My favorite part was the romance aspect of it but there is so much more to the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an easy and non-serious read. The book takes place in a dystopian future with the premise of a prince finding a woman to marry. It’s similar to the Hunger Games in the way that people from different social standings are selected to fight for the prince's affection. The protagonist America Singer was one of the girls selected but she doesn’t want to be there. This book follows her life before the Selection and the first part of her time in the castle.
