Dune is a story that takes place thousands of years in the future on a planet that is
essentially a massive desert wasteland. This planet, called Arrakis, is home to a very valuable
spice that can extend people’s lives, give them psychic powers, or grant an advanced control
over the cosmos. Thus, control over this planet is a top priority for many, so the story follows
Paul Atriedes as he is destined to protect it, himself, and his family from the opposing noble

In the book that I have read by the name, Life in Outer Space, a movie geek kid named Sam Kinnison is set in Australia living with his mom and dad. His dad lives with them but has a very distant relationship. Sam also has a few friends but they are mainly at the bottom of the social hierarchy. A girl by the name of, Camilla, moves in and is super popular with a lot of the “A-list” kids but is also comfortable with the chess club and people such as Sam.

What would you do if you were stranded on an uninhabited and harsh world with a few working resources, and help was 140 million miles away?  That’s the question Mark Watney is asking after he finds himself stuck on Mars when a NASA mission consisting of 6 astronauts goes wrong. The Martian is a debut novel by Andy Weir, and it tells the story of how Mark Watney got off Mars with nothing but a few tools, his humor and wit, and his intelligence.

Rating: 3.5

My rating for this book is a 3.5 because the book is pretty average and it did not catch my interest. The book is written well but it does not have a very interesting plot. Iti s realistic but a bit like those perfect story books type of "realistic".

Summary:

This book is about a girl who wants to be an astronaut. It takes place right before a huge rocket launch in the 1980s. This book gives her and her brothers' points of view and leads her to learn a lot of things.

The Martian is a sci-fi novel by Andy Weir about a man stranded on Mars after a NASA mission goes astray. He’s an engineer and botanist, left behind with random equipment on a planet where stepping out of his enclosure means near-immediate death. Obviously, he’d like to avoid that future and instead hang on to life until he can be rescued by the next Mars mission (not for a few years). To reach this goal, he needs to figure out how to have a continuous supply of oxygen, water, food, heat, and shelter.

Artemis is a sci-fi novel by Andy Weir about a futuristic moon settlement of the same name. The reader follows Jasmine (jazz), a smuggler who’s lived in the city since she was six as she gets way in over her head in a complicated power struggle. On the moon, aluminum manufacturing is pretty important, as it provides the oxygen for the bubbles everyone lives in.

In the sci-fi novel Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, former high school science teacher Ryland Grace wakes in a strange hospital, fresh from a coma and bleary with various medical drugs. Once he recovers a little, he notices several strange things: first, his companions in the odd medical wing are dead and he’s devastated. But he can’t really recall how he knows them, or why they’re here. He can’t remember much at all, really - not even his own name.

The book provides details and information about black holes, such as how they are created, or how powerful they are. While the title of the book is “A Black Hole Is Not a Hole”, the book identifies that it’s not exactly not a hole either. The author does this to show that we still have many new things to learn about black holes. The book tries to put the power of a black hole in perspective by comparing it to things on earth. For example, one page explains how a black hole is similar to a whirlpool.
