Whilst uncovering dark secrets about the supposed murder, Pip finds herself discovering much more than she sought out. As Pip gets closer and closer to the truth, an unknown source tells her to stop her digging.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides follows Theo, a psychotherapist who is trying to uncover the truth behind why Alicia kills her husband and never says a word again. Through tons of investigating and talking sessions, will Theo get Alicia to speak and will the truth of what happened to Alicia's husband be revealed? This jaw dropping, page turning, heat pounding book will make you never want to put it down. The way the words flew off the page was incredible.
And Then There Were None is a mystery novel written by Agatha Christie. It follows ten strangers who receive a mysterious invitation to an island off the Devon Coast. Isolated from the rest of the world, they quickly discover a murderer is among them and that their secrets have come back to haunt them.
This book is so incredibly written. Nothing in the book feels too boring and everything is set perfectly. There are many characters in the book so it can be a little confusing trying to figure out who is who but nonetheless the author does a good job at making sure that we are able to differentiate between them. This is overall a very good book, has a mystery theme, and several plot twists to keep you entertained.
In the Ballroom with the Candlestick is the final book of the Clue Mystery trio. It picks up a little after the events inside In the Study with the Wrench with the Murder Crew at a now almost abandoned Blackbrook Academy. Following a series of murders from the previous books has driven most of the students away, and you are left with an closed circle mystery involving a small group of students composed of both victims and suspects.
Bad Things Happen Here is an intriguing and amazingly written YA murder mystery. It is set on an island of extremely wealthy people where horrible and unexplainable disappearances happen but the consciousness of the society sweeps it all under the rug. It is a twisted tale in both the story itself and the characters, the lead protagonist is flawed, mentally ill and haunted by loss, but yet unlike other books, this does not undermine her character, but instead strengthens Luca.
Not a Happy Family is a domestic thriller full of deceit and uncertainty. One Easter dinner with a dysfunctional family has turned into a murder case with a long list of suspects. Everyone has a motive; nobody has an alibi. With inheritance being thrown around between family members the tension rises for everyone. But one question is left unanswered: Who killed them?
The Pact, by Jodi Picoult, is a crime and romance fiction novel. Emily and Chris were close childhood friends, who formed a relationship in their teen years. Their families thought they would spend their lives together, until Emily ends up dead and Chris in the hospital one night. The families are shocked to hear that Emily had been shot, even more so when authorities rule it a suicide. The police suggest that Chris shot Emily, leading to a murder investigation.
One of Us Is Next is the sequel to One of Us Is Lying. This book follows the same town and now the side characters are the main ones. This one features a dangerous game of “Truth or Dare”.
