The Song of Achilles is and has remained one of my favorite books of all time. There are many quotes from this book that really hold a place in my heart. The plot doesn't take long to pick up, which is nice if you have a short attention span like me. I love all the Greek mythology references, but if you don't know too much about Greek mythology no worries you can still understand the book! It is a lovely forbidden slow burn romance.

Annabeth comes to his rescue just in time, and they both make their way back to Camp Half-Blood only to find out that it is in trouble. The Lightning Thief is the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, written by Rick Riordan. Percy Jackson is a 12-year-old boy who has never enjoyed school. He attends a boarding school, where he and his friend Grover often find themselves victims of bullies. Percy had always learned about Greek mythology and monsters in his Latin class. However, one day, during a school field trip, something seems to change. Percy experiences a strange encounter with his so-called math teacher.

The first in the series that includes the acclaimed Odyssey, The Iliad is less celebrated, but just as worthy of praise. While slightly confusing with the number of characters, the few that you get attached to have incredible stories. The meddling gods make for a fun battle as they each pick their side in the infamous trojan war.

The incredible epic spanning over nine years, with giants and sirens and witches who turn people to pigs. The Odyssey by Homer is a difficult read, but incredibly rewarding. The characters are interesting, and Odysseus and his crew get into countless iconic stories. Reading it will also assist in many other things as many other iconic stories allude to The Odyssey.
