The Cousins is a plot twisting story with many turns which will keep you reading until the last page. 3 cousins. All from different backgrounds. All of these years the Story family had fallen apart when their estranged grandmother decided to take her children’s inheritance leaving one note, “You know what you did”, leaving no explanation. After all of these years, she asks her grandchildren to work for the summer at her resort and all 3 discover that she is not there.

The Lifeguards by Amanda Eyre Ward, is the perfect summer read. The story follows three moms who all have sons the same age. One night while the three boys Xavier, Bobcat and Charlie, were out riding bikes they came across a dead woman's body. Panicked, the boys and their parents called the police but in fear of being a suspect remained anonymous. The thrilling story switches from different points of view, revealing hidden secrets and unexpected twists.

In Verity, by Colleen Hoover, Lowen is offered the deal of a lifetime by Jeremy Crawford: to complete his famous wife's last 3 books. In need of the money she accepts the deal and moves into their house. But things are not as they seem, the family has secrets and the longer Lowen stays the more she finds out. What secrets will be uncovered?

Rating: 4 My rating for this book is a 4 because the book had a great plot line and it was well written. I also think that the book was using too much suspense at times which is why this is not a 4.5.

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid follows the 4 famous Riva family siblings. The story covers what happens in the 24 hours leading up to, during, and after the well-known Riva party as well as the history of their family. Throughout the party secrets will be exposed, punches will be thrown, and the place will go up in flames. Let’s just say the rager will be one to remember. This book was unlike any book I've read before and I absolutely loved it.

Home Before Dark is an exceptionally well-written psychological mystery book. While reading this book I felt several different emotions. At the beginning of the book it was somewhat of a slow read, showing you the daily life of the main character, but as the story accelerates the story gets more and more fascinating. There are so many different twists in the book and none of the aspects are too predictable making it an enjoyable read.

Evie needs to find out who her mother really was. She embarks on a quest into her mother’s past when she is given letters written to her before her mother died. One of the first things she has to do is to attend Oxford university, her mother’s alma mater, where meets Edmund. She can’t help but be attracted to the charming and handsome boy, who also happens to be the second prince of England. They spend more and more time together as they try to figure out the clues her mother left her.

Mattie Gokey has big dreams of one day going to college, but little chance of realizing them. She has to stay behind and protect her sisters and entire family from financial ruin. Desperate for money, she takes at the Glenmore, a hotel for high class people vacationing nearby. There, hotel guest Grace Brown entrusts her with a packet of letters to burn for her. But when Grace’s drowned body is discovered in the lake, Mattie realizes the letters could reveal the dark truth behind a murder.
