Money Mondays – Budgeting for an Irregular Income -  Monday, April 26, 6 – 7  PM

Creating and managing a monthly budget might seem overwhelming when income varies widely – month to month or year to year. Rogers Brazier, HUD Exam-Certified Counselor, Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. will make it easy. Learn how to create and manage a monthly household budget even when your circumstances are unpredictable, including tips that could help you survive a layoff or other unexpected event.

Artists in Sight - Tuesday, April 27,  6:30 – 7:30 PM

Lindsey Yankey grew up in rural Kansas, studied Illustration at the University of Kansas and is currently living in Lawrence, KS, with her family and their jungle of house plants. She finds inspiration in nature, animals, books, people, and traveling and her illustrations are made with a variety of materials. She is the author and illustrator of the books Bluebird, Sun and Moon, and the illustrator of My Grandma and Me.

Come build something cool and flex your creative muscles every week with the B&V MakerSpace team! Register for a new project every week, pick up your supplies kit at your favorite library, grab some tools you probably already have lying around your home and hop online for a build-along video, complete instructions, advanced projects, shopping lists and more!

Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Elder Abuse – Thursday, April 29, 2 – 3:30 PM

Learn about the important legal documents you need to ensure that your wishes are honored in the event of incapacity or death, and to avoid probate. Alexandra English, Managing Attorney and Director of the Elder Rights Project for Kansas Legal Services will discuss powers of attorney, wills, living wills, and transfer on death deeds.
