Students can bring specific homework assignments to work on, such as book reports or science projects; vocabulary, spelling, reading and writing skills; math; and social studies. If you have never used a sewing machine, or just want to brush up your skills, this is the perfect workshop to develop / refresh basic machine sewing knowledge. Participants will learn to sew a seam, hem and sew a button hole using a modern sewing machine. Bonus: the machine is available for use after the class session, anytime the MakerSpace is open. BYOM: Bring Your Own Machine if you’d like to learn how to use it.
