Harvest time has come to Corinth Library. Join us to make and take aromatherapy playdough featuring herbs and flowers from the Corinth Education Garden. Participants will refine their motor skills, enjoy color and engage other senses with the benefits of aromatherapy. Such multi-sensory learning enhances cognitive growth and memory. Lavender, mint and citrus thyme are three of the scent-illating herbs we’ll work with.

People and animals have feelings in common. This interactive presentation helps you appreciate similarities and differences in pet and human brains, emotions and social chemistry. You’ll leave the session with a greater understanding of empathy and an increased motivation to care for your family pets and all living things.

Jo uses the art of storytelling and silly songs to enrich and engage a child’s imagination. Her listeners move along, sing along and imagine along. You’ll hear expert presentations and demonstrations and learn about related activities. Librarians will provide subject resources for your family to further explore each topic. This hands-on, creative workshop lets participants take creative risks through an assortment of simple art directives. Art making can serve as a safe place to work out personal issues, test out new ideas and create a template for taking risks in our daily lives. Presented by art therapist Sherri Jacobs. During her 20-year career she has observed countless individuals use creativity to change and grow. No art experience required for this session.
