Micro:bit is a super easy-to-use, tiny and powerful micro-controller. In this workshop you will learn to code a simple program, transfer it to the micro:bit and see the result. Session participants get to keep their micro:bit to take home and code on their own! Supplies provided.

Let’s read for fun! Club kids get together to talk about a new book, make new friends, enjoy snacks and explore fresh ideas. Bonus fun: build your own home library. Participants will get a free book while supplies last. Keep it if you like, give it to a friend and invite them to our Club, or return it for other Club kids to enjoy. Stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up your book. Best for ages 9-13.

This energetic and interactive performance honors the 10th anniversary of our 6 by 6, Ready to Read early literacy program. Jay and Leslie of Laughing Matters use juggling, creative storytelling and other theatrical arts to nurture early literacy skills with preschoolers. It will be a very special birthday party indeed!
