Tailoring, sewing and stitchery are not lost arts. You can learn to repair and customize your clothing. This session includes instruction in simple processes like sewing on a button, patching a hole or adding a pocket. We provide patches and equipment, you bring in that torn sweater. Textile specialist Whitney Manney and the MakerSpace crew are on hand to assist. Registration opens 30 days in advance of the session. Register online or call 913-826-4600.

Join a fun-filled evening with new friends and adventures and play one of our many games such as Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride and Apples to Apples. Micro:bit is a super easy-to-use, tiny-and-powerful micro-controller. In this workshop you will learn about the micro:bit, learn to code a simple program, transfer it to the micro:bit and see the result. Session participants get to keep their micro:bit to take home and code on their own!
