Let’s read for fun! Club kids get together to talk about a new book, make new friends, enjoy snacks and explore fresh ideas. Bonus fun: build your own home library. This session helps young adults expand their knowledge of how to respond during an emergency. Johnson County MED-ACT is providing a 90-minute overview, specifically for teens, about CPR/AED, First Aid and Bleeding Control. This program will have interactive presentations and hands-on practice in hands-only compressions, anti-choking techniques, tourniquet use and wound packing. This course is intended for any teen who would like to be prepared. It’s especially good for those who frequently babysit and need to know what to do in an emergency.
