Get ready to pinch bubbles, sing and move to catchy songs, use rhythm sticks, parade with instruments and have fun with puppets and Miss Stephanie. With a focus on rhythm and movement, this program reinforces early literacy concepts for our youngest patrons. Moving to music is a nice alternative to regular storytimes, which are postponed this week. Ages 2-5 and a caring adult. Space is limited for this popular session. Pick up a (free) ticket at the Youth Services desk when you arrive that morning.

The Candy Lands is the first of a summer series of immersive and creative Library activities. The set is a life-sized version of the board game, Candy Land®, with interactive stations and a ring of colored cards to act as navigator. You’ll make stops to toss Grandma’s gooey glop, explore the Land of Gingerbread, pass through Queen Frostine’s enchanted forest and snap a selfie on King Kandy’s throne. In addition to fun color recognition, following directions and practicing patience are activity benefits.
