A Universe of Stories

Hop on board this galactic shuttle for an out-of-this-world mix of stories, songs, stretches, puppets and general silliness with storyteller Priscilla Howe. This is a storytelling show incorporating lively puppets. Warning: there may be aliens! Howe is a storytelling tour guide to imaginative spaces. She has performed at hundreds of schools, libraries, festivals and special events. She teaches classes and workshops, and coaches other storytellers.

ScienceTellers is a national consortium of local teaching artists. Members of the audience help the presenters conduct science special effects to bring a story to life. “Aliens: Escape From Earth” is an action-packed and educational adventure about an unusual meteor shower and a family of visitors from another planet. It’s totally out of this world. The story is energized by audience-activated chemical reactions, demonstrations of Boyle’s law, energy-transfer “rainstorms” and much more. Space is limited for this intergalactic adventure.

Mr. Johnson volunteers at the Powell Observatory, one of the largest public telescopes in the Midwest. He is a lifelong amateur astronomer and member of the Astronomical Society of Kansas City.
