We’ll read Bob Kolar’s new book, Hey Ho to Mars We’ll Go. It’s based on a simple little rhyme that is about a big, complicated idea. We’ll talk about Mars and how humans might get there one day. Then we can each draw our own spaceships. Best for ages 6 and up.

It’s time for fun with everyone’s favorite musician, Dino O’Dell. This interactive show includes problem solving, music and hilarious tall-tales. There are also kid-friendly demonstrations of gravity: try eating a pizza when the pepperoni keeps floating away; enjoy a song about the differences between meteors, meteoroids and meteorites; and listen to the story of O’Dell’s childhood hero, Neil Armstrong. 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the very first moon-walk, after all. Come craft with us. We meet at the same time as the Monday Needlers, a group of experienced needle artists. They’re available to share stories and help teen beginners with advice about your projects.
