"Mental Health First Aid" is an interactive 8-hour course that demonstrates skills needed to help someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. The program helps build your mental health literacy and helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness in others. The session introduces risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems and then explores common interventions and treatments.
MHFA is recommended for people and organizations in a community public service role. The course benefits anyone interested in learning more about mental illness and about how to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis.
