In Memory of Six Million
Understanding of the Holocaust is deepened by hearing personal experiences and stories. As survivors grow fewer, we turn to their families and loved ones to preserve this knowledge. In observance of Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, Evy Tilzer will share the stories of her mother and father, June and Isaac Feinsilver, survivors of the European ghettos and concentration camps. Immediately following, Jewish Vocational Services will present their work of welcoming new refugees to Kansas City.
Our May 7 program, Refugees in Our Community, is created as a follow up to this program.
