Goal Planning and Staying Focused

Pickard Conference Room

How can you juggle your day job, health issues, school, kids and other parts of life that get in the way of writing? Let's talk goals, structure, planning and focus in order to make the most of your writing time. Bring your dreams, and we'll work out the details on how to stay committed to a project. Seating is first-come, first-served for this session.

Register once (appreciated but not required) for the entire Writers Conference and come and go as you please. Separate registrations are required to attend any of the Critique Sessions. Check out the Writers Conference schedule at a glance or search our online calendar for in-depth descriptions.

Jaylee James is a queer writer and editor. Her work has been featured in Wings of Renewal and Polychrome Ink, and was the mind behind Vitality Magazine, which focused on LGBTQ+ speculative fiction, and the editor of Circuits & Slippers, an anthology of science fiction fairy tale retellings. Her current projects include Spectrum Lit, a LGBTQ+ flash fiction Patreon, and Polycule, which chronicles the true story of a non-monogamous queer person’s adventures in online dating. When not writing, she spends far too much time on twitter (@thewritingj) and cuddling her dogs. More of her work can be found at JayleeJames.com.
