Family Confident City Cycling & Earn-a-Bike Program

Want to be more comfortable riding your bike in the city? Do you know someone who could use a bike for getting around town? BikeWalkKC‘s Confident City Cycling Class and Earn-a-Bike Program is coming back to Johnson County Library! Learn cycling skills – all levels welcome. Hosted in partnership with LiveWell Johnson County and BikeWalkKC.
- When: July 23 (in the Learning Lab), 25 (in the parking lot East of Central Resource Library), 30 (In the Learning Lab) and August 1 (in the parking lot East of Central Resource Library),. All sessions are 6 - 8 pm (Adults must attend all 4 sessions to earn a free bike. Kids must attend July 25 & 30th, Aug 1 to earn a bike)
- Who: Adults and kids 14+ who want to learn how to ride on trails, bike paths, and/or city streets. This is also a valuable course for group ride leaders, urban planners and engineers, city staff, and others who wish to learn more about biking for transportation and recreation. (All minors must have signed permission form)
- What: Confident City Cycling is a course that teaches you how to navigate city streets safely and confidently. The course contains both discussion and on-bike components. Participants also have an opportunity to earn a bike of their own.
