The government publishes more material per year than any other single entity. The topics range from military histories to information on how to obtain a visa to the national census. Local History
Published historical materials about the history of Johnson County are kept in the Regional Reference collection. Genealogy collection focuses on the immediate geographic area, as well the states from which people emigrated here. Both are served by a number of electronic resources, including JoCoHistory, a local, collaborative Web site featuring thousands of vintage photos, historic maps, and scholarly essays.
