Art in the Age of Steam

art in the age of steamIn conjunction with The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art exhibit, Art in the Age of Steam, the Johnson County Library will display model trains at the Central Resource Library in December. The model trains will run from 3-5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 1 - Dec. 20, 2008.

In addition, children can enjoy storytimes and craft programs with train themes at the Cedar Roe, Oak Park and Lackman Neighborhood Libraries.

Drop by for a fun-filled visit. We'll have a train set, a motor mat and other hands-on learning activities for the kids. For ages 2 and up and an adult who will stay and participate. No registration required.

We Love Trains Stories & Crafts
Tuesday, Dec. 09, 2008; 10 a.m.
Oak Park Library
Description: The next best thing to a trip on a train is a trip to the library! Come ride the rails with our stories & crafts for ages 2-6. Stories will be read at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
