Bookmark Contest
The Friends of the Johnson County Library Bookmark Design Contest is held every year as part of the Library’s celebration of National Library Week in April. This popular contest draws several hundred entries each year. In the space provided on the contest entry form, contest entrants use colored pencils, pens, paints and markers to design an original hand-drawn bookmark with illustrations and/or words. The contest has categories for preschool through adult, and all ages are encouraged to participate. The winning designs are printed on bookmarks that are distributed at all Johnson County Library locations during the summer and are featured here on the Library Web site.
