Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms are free and available for use by government agencies and nonprofit groups engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, recreational, or charitable activities. Rooms may be reserved up to two months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis.

Please read our meeting room guidelines prior to making a reservation. For details, equipment, and reservations, please contact the individual library. Study Rooms

Study Rooms are free and may be reserved up to two months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by students and study groups. A current, verified Library account is required for use of the study rooms.

Microfiche & Microfilm

Five microfiche and microfilm machines are located at the Central Resource Library. These machines include two digital readers that can save scans to a flash drive at no charge or provide prints from a laser printer at $.15 per page.

Photocopiers

All Library locations have self-service photocopiers. Copies cost $.15 per page. Central Resource Library also has a color photocopier. The charge for color copies is 50 cents per page.

Typewriters

We also provide typewriters at a number of locations.

Computers, Internet Access & Printers

Johnson County Library has over 380 public computers and printers available across 13 locations. Computer users must have a current Johnson County Library Card and PIN (personal identification number) to log on to the Library's workstations. Patrons may simply log on to an open machine or reserve one from a self-service station if all computers are taken. Patrons are limited to 70 minutes on a single machine.

Black and white priting costs .15 per page. Many locations offer color printing at a cost of 50 cents per page. Libraries with color printers: Antioch Library, Blue Valley Library, Cedar Roe Library, Central Resource Library, Corinth Library, Gardner Library, Lackman Library, Leawood Pioneer Library, Oak Park Library, and Shawnee Library.

Fax Machines & Scanners

A pay-fax machine is currently available at Antioch, Blue Valley and Central Resource Libraries. Patrons can receive faxes at no charge. To send a fax, the cost is $1.50 for the first page and $1 for each subsequent page. Payment can be made using credit/debit cards or by putting cash on a vending card at the Circulation desk.

A scanner is available free of charge on the color photocopier at Central Resource Library only. The scanner does not have image editing capability but JPG and PDF files can be saved to a flash drive. 

Wireless Access (wi-fi)

The Library provides free wireless access at all Library locations. See www.jocolibrary.org/wireless for more information about connecting and troubleshooting.

Assistive Technology

The Central Resource Library has an assistive technology adaptive workstation with software and equipment to assist patrons with limited vision, limited mobility, or learning disabilities.
