Space & Equipment

The Library provides over 380 computers with Internet access at all 13 locations.All Johnson County Library locations provide public computers with Internet access, printers, and photocopiers. Computer users must have a current Johnson County Library Card and PIN (personal identification number) to log on to the library's workstations. Each location also has at least one catalog-only computer that doesn't require log in so that patrons can quickly check the library catalog.

Many Libraries also provide study rooms and meeting rooms. Additional equipment, including assistive technologycopier photocopiers, microfilm/fiche readerstypewriters, and wireless Internet access.

Meeting Rooms
Meeting rooms are free and available for use by government agencies and nonprofit groups engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, recreational, or charitable activities. Rooms may be reserved up to two months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis. Please read our meeting room guidelines prior to making a reservation. For details, equipment, and reservations, please contact the individual library.

Study Rooms
Study Rooms are free and may be reserved up to two months in advance, on a first-come, first served basis by students and study groups. A current, verified Johnson County Library or Olathe Public Library account is required for use of the study rooms.

Assistive Technology
The Central Resource Library provides two assistive technology adaptive workstations with software and equipment to assist patrons with limited vision, limited mobility, or learning disabilities.

Computers, Internet Access & Printers
Johnson County Library has over 380 public computers available across 13 locations. Almost all computers have Internet access, except a few catalog-only stations per library that provide quick access to the Library catalog without logging in. All the other computers have Internet access, and computer users must have a current Johnson County Library Card and PIN (personal identification number) to log on to the library's workstations.

All Libraries have computers and basic printers. Printing costs $.15 per page: Antioch Library, Blue Valley Library, Cedar Roe Library, Central Resource Library, Corinth Library, DeSoto Library, Edgerton Library, Gardner Library, Lackman Library, Leawood Pioneer Library, Oak Park Library, Shawnee Library, and Spring Hill Library.

Many locations also have color printers. Color printing costs $1 per page. Libraries with color printers: Antioch Library, Blue Valley Library, Cedar Roe Library, Central Resource Library, Corinth Library, Gardner Library, Lackman Library, Leawood Pioneer Library, Oak Park Library, and Shawnee Library.

Fax Machines & Scanners
A pay-fax machine is currently available only at Antioch Library and Central Resource Library. Patrons can receive faxes at no charge. To send a fax, the cost is $1.50 for the first page and $1 for each subsequent page.

Microfiche & Microfilm
Microfiche and microfilm machines are located at the Central Resource Library. These machines include digital microform readers that provide prints from a laser printer at $.15 per page.

Photocopiers
All Library locations have self-service photocopiers. Copies cost $.15 per page.

Photocopiers (Color)
While each library provides photocopiers, Central Resource Library also has a color copier. The charge for color copies is $1 per page.

Typewriters
Although the Library provides over 380 public computers at various locations throughout the county, we also provide typewriters at a number of locations.

Wireless access (wi-fi)
