History of Spring Hill Library

While book mobile service was available at Spring Hill in the early days of the JCL, it was not until 1971 that a branch was established there. The first branch at Spring Hill was set up with no designated funding, and was run on a shoestring for its first few years. Open just a few hours a week, it was a joint effort of the Library and Spring Hill School District. That, according to the memory of the few people I consulted. If anyone has information about the Spring Hill Library in the 1970s, please drop me a line at my e-mail provided. Read on »

Petitioning Zone

click to enlarge petioning zone diagramPetitioners and protestors must stay inside the petitioning zone and must not interfere with patrons entering the building. This zone ensures patron safety and prevents sidewalk traffic congestion. The selected placement of the zone maximizes exposure of petitioners to patrons. Petitioners or protesters who cannot abide by these rules will be asked to leave the premises. We appreciate your cooperation. The designated petitioning zone is shaded in green in the diagram to the left. Please notice this zone is located in front of the entrance by the bench.
